A large portion of the Resident Assistant time is spent having 1 on 1 mentoring conversations with each resident. How will you approach these conversations, especially with students who seem uninterested, or when you have difficult topic to discuss?^* In what ways do you believe the RA serves as a role model to residents? How have you demonstrated qualities and characteristics of a role model?^*

Section 6: Living Learning Communities

Living Learning Communities offer unique residential experiences by merging classroom learning with students' out of class experiences. Students with a common academic or social interest will live together on the same floor or wing of a residence hall allowing the community to have focused programs and a shared interest amongst community members in a specific topic area. In some Living Learning Communities, students will also share an academic course. For more information on the Living Learning Communities at UM, please visit the UM Housing website.

Global LLC in Miller Hall (optional): This LLC gives students the opportunity to think globally, but connect locally and live with people from different backgrounds, countries, and with different viewpoints.
